We will have weekly grammar lessons and quizzes.  Expectation is this will improve skills, writing abilities, and test scores.

We will start with Punctuation : end marks, commas, semicolons, colons, apostrophes, quotation marks, hyphens, and parentheses.

Then we will focus on the Parts of Speech:  nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.

Then the focus will turn to Parts of a Sentence and Phrases:  sentences and fragments, kinds of sentences, subjects and predicates, subjects in unusual positions, direct objects, indirect objects, predicate words, compound sentence parts, prepositional phrases, appositives, verbals:  gerunds, participles, & infinitives, and diagramming.
