Grammar

During Freshmen English, we will focus on punctuation, parts of speech, and parts or a sentence.

Vocabulary

You will have 10 words a week.  You will be expected to know the meaning of the words and how to use the words in sentences properly.  There will be weekly quizzes.  Be sure to study!

Rhetorical Devices & Literary Terms

During each unit, we will focus on different rhetorical devices and/or literary terms.  You will be expected to identify them in the literature and to apply them to your own writings.
Plus every Tuesday, we will focus a part of the class period to a literary term. Practice! Practice! Practice!
